Travel Numbers

Yesterday (Monday) I began my journey home at 9:30PM. The first leg was a 7 hour bus ride down out of the mountains to the coastal city Padang. Then 4 hours waiting at the airport there until my 1 hour flight to Singapore. I'm currently 10 hours into my 19 hour layover here in Singapore, which will be followed by 6 hours to Tokyo, 7 hours in Tokyo, 7 hours to Honolulu, 14 hours in Honolulu, topped off with 5 1/2 hours to arrive in Portland Thursday morning. I guess I should add 1 day there and then 2 more days driving down to Phoenix.

Still alive!

To my throngs of blog readers, just letting you know I'm still alive. I've been takin' care of business around Kerinci the last week. Tomorrow Sahar and I head to Padang, and from there on to more missions that I can't really talk about too much for fear of TNKS spies. I have pictures from my trip to my grandpa's farm in northern Montana, and I'm sure I'll have more pictures from this trip. But I'm not even going to try to upload them until I get back to the States, Indonesia being the backwater that it is. TTFN

New Site Design (yet again)!

Yet another site redesign, ready for action. I like this one so it will stick around for a while. Main features at the moment are: this blog, lots of photos, and my new location feature. Now you can track where I've been and where I'm going, all thanks to the genius of my wonderful overlord Google! I'm leaving for a month in Indonesia tomorrow, so there are some things that aren't yet implemented/finished. That is all. See you in a month!
