Yesterday (Monday) I began my journey home at 9:30PM. The first leg was a 7 hour bus ride down out of the mountains to the coastal city Padang. Then 4 hours waiting at the airport there until my 1 hour flight to Singapore. I'm currently 10 hours into my 19 hour layover here in Singapore, which will be followed by 6 hours to Tokyo, 7 hours in Tokyo, 7 hours to Honolulu, 14 hours in Honolulu, topped off with 5 1/2 hours to arrive in Portland Thursday morning. I guess I should add 1 day there and then 2 more days driving down to Phoenix. So if a train is heading to meet me from Chicago at 45 mph, at what point does its rotational acceleration match my terminal velocity?
